We are a group of bachelor students who study soil science and sustainable agriculture. By the end of this conference, we hope to be able to suggest viable pathways that can increase farm resilience against climate change, streamline logistics networks, promote farmers' access to credit, and ultimately improve farmer livelihoods.
We envision a world in which smallholder farmers are given opportunity to improve the nutritional diversity of their households and their communities by leveraging credit granted by financial institutions. We also envision a world in which financial institutions can provide deserving smallholders with credit while simultaneously growing resilient value chains that dampen risk associated with long-term agricultural investment.
